Chandigarh University Dominates the Khelo India University Games

Chandigarh University has written a new chapter in Indian university sports history by becoming the first university in India to win the Khelo India University Games (KIUG) title for two consecutive years — a remarkable feat that underscores its growing sporting excellence and institutional commitment to athletics.

In the 5th edition of the Khelo India University Games 2025 held in Rajasthan from late November to early December, Chandigarh University topped the medal tally yet again by finishing with 67 medals — including 42 Gold, 14 Silver, and 11 Bronze — outperforming all other competing universities across India.

This victory followed their stellar performance at KIUG 2024, where the university had previously claimed the championship with 71 medals — setting the stage for their historic back-to-back wins.
