Vice President Praises India’s Performance in QS Rankings

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan attended the 3rd Convocation Ceremony of SRM University Delhi-NCR in Sonepat, Haryana.

New Delhi, India, November 7, 2025 — Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan attended the 3rd Convocation Ceremony of SRM University Delhi-NCR in Sonepat, Haryana, as the Chief Guest today.

In his address to the gathering, the Vice-President praised the National Education Policy 2020, stating that with the proper education and skills, our youth can become the driving force behind Viksit Bharat—an India that is innovative, inclusive, and guided by the principles of equity, justice, and sustainability.

Vice President Radhakrishnan emphasized that while technical expertise and academic excellence are vital, it is equally essential for students to embody values and character.

He expressed satisfaction with the performance of Indian higher education institutions, noting that they achieved their best results ever in the QS World University Rankings 2026, with 54 universities making the list. It positions India as the fourth most represented country in these rankings.

Finally, the Vice President advised students not to compare themselves with others. He highlighted that there are immense opportunities in today’s world, and each individual has their unique role to play.
