Lakshmi Puja and Diwali Wishes from the President of India

Greetings from the President of India on Diwali and Lakshmi Puja.

New Delhi, October 20, 2025 — The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu sends greetings to her fellow citizens on Diwali and Lakshmi Puja.

In a message, the President of India stated:

“On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all Indians, both in India and around the world.

“Diwali, one of India’s most popular festivals, is celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy. This festival symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. Celebrated throughout the country with immense fervor, Diwali carries a message of mutual affection and brotherhood. On this auspicious occasion, devotees worship Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth and prosperity.

“This joyful festival invites us to reflect and improve ourselves. It also offers a chance to support those in need and bring happiness to their lives.

“I encourage everyone to celebrate Diwali safely, responsibly, and environmentally friendly. May this Diwali bring happiness, peace, and prosperity to all.”
