The President stated that United Nations peacekeepers are currently active in 71 different missions around the world. She emphasized that these missions aim to alleviate the suffering of innocent individuals, especially women and children. The President stated that India, as the largest democracy, firmly believes in multilateralism and adherence to the principles of the United Nations Charter. India takes pride in being a consistent contributor to UN peacekeeping since its inception. Our peacekeepers have served with distinction in some of the most challenging missions around the world.
