The President of India’s Greetings on Vijayadashami.
New Delhi, India, October 2, 2025 — The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu has extended her greetings to fellow citizens on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra.
In her message, the President said:
“On the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all fellow citizens.
Vijayadashami, which symbolizes the victory of Dharma over Adharma, inspires us to follow the path of truth and justice. Celebrated in various parts of the country as Ravana Dahan and Durga Puja, this festival reflects our national values. It teaches us to renounce negative tendencies such as anger and ego, while embracing positive qualities like courage and determination.
May this festival inspire us to build a society and a country where all people move forward together, guided by the principles of justice, equality, and harmony.”
