C. P. Radhakrishnan Sworn In as India’s New Vice President

PRESIDENT OF INDIA ADMINISTERS THE OATH OF OFFICE TO SHRI C. P. RADHAKRISHNAN AS VICE PRESIDENT OF INDIA.

New Delhi, India, September 12, 2025 — The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, administered the Oath of Office of Vice President of India to Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan at a Swearing-in-Ceremony held at Ganatantra Mandap, Rashtrapati Bhavan today (September 12, 2025).

The Vice President of India functions as the ex officio Chairman of the Rajya Sabha by virtue of his position. In addition to fulfilling this legislative role, he also carries out ceremonial and academic duties as the ex officio Chancellor of various public universities.
