Filmmaker Magazine has recognized The Los Angeles Film School in its 2025 Film School Guide.


LOS ANGELES, July 3, 2025 — The Los Angeles Film School has been included in the 2025 edition of FILMMAKER Magazine’s Film School Guide, marking its third consecutive year on the magazine’s list of top film education programs in the USA.
Each summer, the magazine publishes a guide featuring a selection of prominent public and private film institutions across the country. This publication provides valuable information about each school, including tuition costs, degree offerings, and notable faculty and alumni.
The L.A. Film School offers a hands-on learning approach in its film program, providing both Associate and Bachelor’s degrees on campus or online. The program focuses on skill development and career preparation for students aspiring to work in the entertainment industry. Additionally, students have access to the school’s state-of-the-art facilities, as well as industry-standard hardware and software, which help them refine their craft.
Since its opening in 1999, The L.A. Film School has developed a comprehensive program catalog designed to prepare the next generation of creative professionals for careers in the entertainment industry. Students can choose from more than 18 undergraduate degrees, including Animation, Audio Production, Digital Filmmaking, Entertainment Business, Film Production, Graphic Design, Media Communications, Writing for Film and TV, and Music Production.
Additionally, the school boasts an extensive alumni network featuring professionals working in film, television, music, and animation. During this awards season, The L.A. Film School had 94 alumni credited on projects nominated for major accolades at the Grammys, Emmys, Oscars, and Golden Globes, with alumni also credited on 19 major award-winning projects.
The Los Angeles Film School is an accredited higher education institution located in the heart of Hollywood. Since its establishment in 1999, the school has been dedicated to serving the community and its students. It offers both in-person and online learning programs, allowing students to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in the following fields: Animation, Audio Production, Digital Filmmaking, Entertainment Business, Film Production, Graphic Design, Media Communications, Music Production, and Writing for Film and Television. Additionally, Associate of Science degrees are available in Audio Production, Music Production, and Film.
The campus features the historic RCA Building at 6363 Sunset Blvd and the studios at 6690 Sunset Blvd. Here, students have access to industry-standard equipment, editing labs, dub stages, and recording studios.
The school boasts a faculty composed of industry professionals who have credits in major motion pictures, video games, and music recordings.
