The India-U.S. Joint Working Group on Aircraft Carrier Technology Cooperation held a meeting.



New Delhi, India, May 21, 2025 — The 8th meeting of the India-US Joint Working Group on Aircraft Carrier Technology Cooperation (JWGACTC) was held in India from May 13 to May 16, 2025, under the India–US Defence Technology and Trade Initiative (DTTI).
A six-member US delegation led by RAdm Casey Moton, Programme Executive Officer (PEO) of Aircraft Carriers, visited various defense establishments in Delhi and Goa.
The inaugural session of the Joint Working Group Meeting was conducted on May 13 in New Delhi, under the co-chairmanship of Rear Admiral Vishal Bishnoi, Assistant Controller of Carrier Projects (ACCP). During this meeting, Rear Admiral Casey Moton underscored the significance of the Joint Working Group and the substantial progress it has achieved over the past decade. Both parties acknowledged the exemplary efforts made by the Joint Working Group in facilitating the exchange of valuable information regarding aircraft carriers. Additionally, discussions encompassed plans for future collaboration across various dimensions of aircraft carrier technology, culminating in releasing a Joint Statement.
In Goa, formal discussions were held with aviation specialists from the Indian Navy concerning aircraft carrier operations and technical aspects. This meeting represented a significant milestone in the ongoing partnership between the two nations in the domain of aircraft carrier technology.
