Indian Army Commanders Conference: Focus on Security Reforms

The Army Commanders Conference has begun in New Delhi.

New Delhi, India, April 2, 2025 — The Army Commanders’ Conference is taking place in New Delhi from April 1 to April 4, 2025. This conference provides a platform for senior leaders of the Indian Army to review and assess the overall security situation and discuss key operational priorities for addressing emerging challenges.

Shri Rajnath Singh, the Hon’ble Raksha Mantri, will chair the session and deliver the keynote address. This session will include a presentation on the Indian Army’s focus for the ‘Year of Reforms.’ The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) will also address the Army’s senior leadership. Additionally, the conference will feature a talk by the CEO of NITI Aayog on India’s journey and the envisioned role of the armed forces in building a ‘Saksham & Sashakt Bharat.’

In alignment with the Indian Army’s objective of creating an agile, adaptive, technologically enabled, and future-ready force, senior leaders will engage in extensive discussions with experts. These discussions aim to introduce new methodologies for effective decision-making. Other topics for consideration will include improving overall organizational health and streamlining processes within the Field Army to enhance their resilience and responsiveness.
