- Chandigarh University’s Tourism and Hospitality Management students secured a record-breaking 834 jobs in the 2023-2024 academic year.

CHANDIGARH, India, February 21, 2025 — Over 834 students from the Travel, Tourism, and Hotel Management program at Chandigarh University secured campus placements for 2023 and 2024. It represents a significant increase of 38% in job offers for hospitality and tourism management students compared to previous years.
Seventy-six tourism and hospitality management students from Chandigarh University, which is ranked number one in India for excellence in Hospitality and Leisure Management according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024, received multiple job offers in the past two years.
In 2023 and 2024, 381 hotel management students from Chandigarh University secured jobs in various International and Indian five-star hotels, Quick Service Restaurants, and Retail Management companies. Among them, 327 students obtained positions in 18 Five Star Hotels, including The Oberoi Bengaluru, Hilton Bangalore, Trident Gurgaon, The Oberoi Udaivilas in Udaipur, Radisson Jaipur City Centre, Marriott Gurgaon, Sheraton Hyderabad, Vivanta by Taj Surajkund, Taj Lake Palace Udaipur, Accor, Imperial Delhi, ITC Grand Chola, The Leela Palace Jaipur, Wildflower Hall Shimla, Pullman, and Oberoi Sukhvilas over the past two years.
Three hundred ten students from Chandigarh University received internship offers from the world’s number one entertainment company, Walt Disney World, in Florida, USA. 76 Travel, Tourism, and Hotel Management students have completed internships and received job offers. The selected students will undergo three months of training, during which they will be paid a stipend of US$ 300 per week, and the company will provide their boarding and lodging at Disneyland.
In the aviation sector, students from Chandigarh University were offered 205 jobs by 16 airlines over the past two years. In 2024, of the 95 jobs offered to CU students, 10 were from seven international airlines, including Lufthansa Airways, British Airways, Air France, Qatar Airways, Kuwait Airways, Virgin Atlantic, and Oman Airways. The domestic airlines that offered jobs to Chandigarh University students included Indigo, Go Air, SpiceJet, and Air India.
In 2023 and 2024, 73 students from Chandigarh University secured jobs in Tour and Travel Management. In 2024, twelve Tour and Travel Management companies that made significant offers included Thomas Cook India, Pickyourtrail, Zenith Leisure Holidays, EaseMyTrip.com, TBO.COM, SITA, Sonalika, Bout, Satguru Travels, Akbar Travel, and SOTC.
Over the past two years, 123 students have secured positions within five-star hotels’ Front Office Departments. Additionally, 174 students have obtained employment in the Food Production Department, 55 have been placed in the Food and Beverage Department, and 29 have been assigned to the Housekeeping Department of five-star hotels.
