Chandigarh University Wins AIU North Zone Youth Festival 2025

Chandigarh University won the overall trophy at the 38th AIU Inter-University North Zone Youth Festival 2025, securing 26 awards in total.

Team CU has won the Overall AIU North-Zone Trophy four times. Chandigarh University’s contingent of 49 members has qualified for the AIU National Youth Festival 2025.

CHANDIGARH, India, February 7, 2025 — Chandigarh University (CU) has emerged as the overall champion of the 38th Inter-University North Zone Youth Festival 2025, organized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) at Panjab University in Chandigarh. With this achievement, Chandigarh University has successfully qualified for the AIU National Youth Festival, which will occur from March 3 to March 7 this year. The Chandigarh University team won the North-Zone AIU Trophy for the fourth time.

Forty-nine students from Chandigarh University participated in the festival across various categories. Team CU emerged as the overall champion, winning 26 trophies in total from different events, which included Theatre, Dance, Music, Literature, and Fine Arts. The university achieved eight first places, 5 second places, and seven third places. It included the 1st overall trophy in Theatre, Dance, and Literature, the 2nd overall in Music, and the 3rd overall trophy in Fine Arts and Procession. Altogether, 962 students from 21 universities in the North Zone participated in various contests related to Music, theatre, fine arts, literature, and dance.

The CU Team has consistently demonstrated outstanding performance by winning the overall theatre championship for six consecutive years. Chandigarh University students have also secured the overall trophy in one-act plays for the eighth straight year at the North Zone AIU Championship. During a ceremony held at the PU Chandigarh campus, Managing Director Jai Inder Singh Sandhu and Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Devinder Singh, along with the students of Chandigarh University, received the overall trophy.
