India’s captain, Niki Prasad, described the women’s U-19 T20 World Cup title victory as a “special moment” for the team, highlighting the remarkable composure displayed by the players throughout the match. Their unwavering focus and dedication led to a resounding triumph on Sunday.

In a thrilling final, India showcased their dominance by defeating South Africa by nine wickets, claiming the prestigious title for the second consecutive year. Chasing a modest target of 83 runs set by South Africa, the Indian team executed their chase flawlessly, reaching an impressive 84 for 1 in just 11.2 overs, with a commanding 52 balls to spare.

Gongadi Trisha emerged as the match’s star, delivering a brilliant performance with an unbeaten 44 runs off 33 balls, displaying skill and poise at the crease. Sanika Chalke also played a crucial role, contributing an unbeaten 26 runs off 22 balls, helping steer the team towards victory with confidence and determination.
