The Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Concept will make its global dynamic debut at Mount Panorama. Legendary driver and Bathurst 1000 winner Jacky Ickx will drive it.

Frankfurt, Germany, January 10, 2025: Motor racing legend Jacky Ickx will return to Mount Panorama for the first time since his victory in the 1977 Bathurst 1000, driving the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Concept during its global dynamic debut.
The impressive Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Concept will captivate audiences at the Bathurst 12-hour endurance race, which will occur from January 31 to February 2, 2025. Jacky Ickx will be behind the wheel, performing a series of exciting demonstration laps throughout the weekend.
The 2025 Bathurst 12 Hour is an endurance race featuring FIA GT3 cars and other invited vehicles. It will occur at the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia, marking the opening round of the 2025 Intercontinental GT Challenge.
It will be the first time the X Gran Berlinetta Concept will be seen on track anywhere in the world.
The concept was first revealed at the 2023 Gran Turismo World Series Finals in Barcelona, Spain. It was developed as part of Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo series and has been available to race in the game since January 2024.

This exceptional Belgian driver made a significant impact in the world of endurance racing by winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans an unprecedented six times. In 1977, he also claimed victory at the prestigious Bathurst 1000 during his first appearance at the circuit, co-driving with Alan Moffat in the powerful Ford Falcon XC V8.
