  • For more than 120 years, Times Square has stood as a vibrant beacon of global excitement on New Year’s Eve. This remarkable tradition originated in 1904 when the owners of One Times Square hosted festive rooftop celebrations to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new one with joy and hope. The inaugural Ball Drop celebration occurred in 1907, marking the beginning of an iconic ritual.
