Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, November 13, 2024 — The Lamborghini Super Trofeo season will conclude this week as Jerez de la Frontera hosts the final round of the European, Asian, and North American campaigns for the first time since 2019. With every class title still up for grabs, the season finale in Spain is poised to deliver a dramatic conclusion ahead of the traditional end-of-year Lamborghini World Finals.
The newly unveiled Lamborghini Squadra Corse logos will also be displayed during the World Finals weekend at Jerez de la Frontera.
- The Lamborghini Super Trofeo is an international motor racing series organized by Lamborghini Squadra Corse. This one-make championship exclusively features Huracán Super Trofeo Evo model cars. It consists of three continental series: Europe, Asia, and North America.
- Super Trofeo Europe
Oliver Söderström and Largim Ali from Target Racing are leading the Pro standings, ahead of Amaury Bonduel from BDR Competition by Grupo Prom by 9.5 points as they approach a pair of 50-minute races. The Swedish-Danish duo has secured one race win this season compared to Bonduel’s five victories. However, Bonduel experienced two non-scoring results during the previous round in Barcelona in October. In the fight for third place, Egor Orudzhev from Art-Line and Mattia Michelotto from VSR have two wins this year and are separated by just 3.5 points.
- Super Trofeo North America
Four crews are still in contention for the Pro title as we head into the weekend. Ernie Francis Jr. and Giano Taurino from TR3 Racing hold a 12-point lead over Nico Jamin and Francisco “Kiko” Porto from Ansa Motorsports. One point behind Jamin and Porto is Danny Formal and Ryan Norman from Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti. Additionally, the sister team from Ansa Motorsports, Bryson Morris and Loris Cabirou, still has a mathematical chance of winning the title, with 32 points available.
- Super Trofeo Asia
Dan Wells, driving for DW Evans GT, currently leads the Pro standings with three wins this season, holding a 10-point advantage over Hon Chio “Charles” Leong and Miki Koyama from SJM Iron Lynx Theodore Racing. Jonathan Cecotto and Gavin Huang of Arrows Racing are in sixth place, trailing by another six points. Although Leong and Koyama have yet to secure a win in 2024, they have demonstrated strong consistency, achieving eight podium finishes out of 10 races, which keeps them in close competition.
