New Delhi, November 6, 2024 — Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi spoke with President-elect Donald Trump on the telephone today.

PM congratulated him on his re-election as President of the United States and the Republican Party’s success in the Congressional elections.

The Prime Minister emphasized that his remarkable and decisive victory demonstrated the American people’s strong trust in his leadership and vision.

Prime Minister Modi recalled their memorable interactions when reflecting on the positive momentum of the India-U.S. partnership during President Trump’s first term. He mentioned the “Howdy Modi” event in Houston in September 2019 and the “Namaste Trump” event in Ahmedabad during President Trump’s visit to India in February 2020.

Both leaders emphasized the significance of the India-U.S. Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership for the benefit of their citizens and global peace and stability.

They reaffirmed their commitment to collaborate to strengthen bilateral ties in technology, defense, energy, space, and various other sectors.
