- The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in India has issued a public notice concerning Newly Transformed Universities.
NAAC-accredited affiliated/Constituent/Autonomous Colleges/Institutes that have evolved into State Public Universities/State Private Universities/Deemed-to-Be Universities (both public and private) must retain the validity of their “NAAC Grade” and “NAAC CGPA” until their Accreditation expires.
After their validation expires, these newly transformed universities can immediately apply for fresh Accreditation without waiting for two batches of students to graduate as otherwise required.
This decision unequivocally applies to NAAC-accredited higher education institutions (HEIs) that have attained university status with altered Names.
