CHANDIGARH, India, Aug. 21, 2024 — In today’s globalized world, exposure to diverse cultures is crucial for students to gain new perspectives and prepare for the global workforce. Global collaborations between academic institutions provide opportunities for international study, work, and access to resources needed for careers in a worldwide economy.
Chandigarh University has partnered with 502 international universities to provide its students with global exposure and employment opportunities abroad. This initiative makes it the first and only university in India to have such partnerships. The collaboration includes some of the oldest universities globally, offering Chandigarh University students a blend of historical heritage and modern opportunities.
Chandigarh University’s partner universities include 236 universities with QS World Rankings and 208 Times Higher Education Rankings, which are ranked among the world’s top universities. Studying at these top-ranked universities provides exposure to world-class education and improves job prospects for Chandigarh University students.
Professor (Dr.) Rajan Sharma, Director of International Affairs and International Admissions at Chandigarh University, stated, “Chandigarh University provides students with the opportunity to study in more than 95 countries across six continents. These countries include Belgium, France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Georgia, Russia, Italy, Germany, Finland, and Poland in Europe; the USA and Canada in North America; Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, Japan, and Thailand in Asia; as well as various regions in Africa, South America, and Australia.”
He mentioned that Chandigarh University offers its students a variety of international opportunities, including student exchange programs, summer training, semester exchanges, master’s degrees or PhDs abroad, joint workshops, conferences, research projects, faculty exchanges, dual degree programs, and international employment prospects.
Chandigarh University offers International Semester Abroad and Semester Exchange Programs, providing students with cultural experiences. In exchange programs, students pay fees only at Chandigarh University. In abroad programs, a reduced fee is paid at the international university, and there is no fee at Chandigarh University.
Professor (Dr.) Rajan Sharma said that Chandigarh University offers International Transfer Programs (ITPs) for various fields, including Engineering, Medicine, Architecture, Management, Journalism, Psychology, Animation, Nutrition, and Pharmacy. These programs allow students to start their degree at Chandigarh University and then transfer to a foreign university to complete their studies. Benefits include a 50 percent reduction in foreign tuition fees, relaxed entry criteria, and access to academic and full housing scholarships at prestigious institutions.
The programs help students earn globally recognized degrees, boosting their academic and professional prospects, employability, and overall degree value.
