The University of Leeds celebrates 25 Years of Engagement in India.
NEW DELHI, India, July 18, 2024 — The University of Leeds is celebrating 25 years of engagement in India with a senior delegation visit and a series of events. A senior-level delegation recently visited India, recognizing the country’s increasing importance within the University’s internationalization strategy.
The University of Leeds, a pioneer in addressing global challenges, is dedicated to strengthening educational and cultural ties with India. Over the past twenty-five years, the University has formed strong partnerships with leading Indian institutions and supported research projects that are shaping the future. This ongoing engagement has enriched the learning experiences of many students and faculty members from both nations.
To commemorate this significant occasion, Prof. Manuel Barcia, the Dean of Global Engagement at the University of Leeds, stated, “As we mark 25 years of presence in India, we take pride in the strong and lasting relationships we have established. India is pivotal to our internationalization strategy, and this visit reaffirms our dedication to strengthening these partnerships.
