MotoGP Championship — German GP.

Francesco Bagnaia and the Ducati Lenovo Team won the Sachsenring (Germany) race and are back at the top of the standings.

July 08, 2024 — The Ducati Lenovo Team, a symbol of resilience, emerged victorious at the Sachsenring (Germany) race with Francesco Bagnaia, reclaiming the top spot in the championship standings. Enea Bastianini finished in fourth place after an intense battle with Morbidelli.

Bagnaia, a force to be reckoned with, started in third position and quickly moved into first place in the first two laps by overtaking Oliveira and then Martín at the last corner. However, he was subsequently overtaken by Martín and Morbidelli. Undeterred, Bagnaia then dropped to second place but regained the position halfway through the race. He engaged in a close battle with Martín, with both riders maintaining similar lap times. With two laps remaining, Martín crashed out, allowing Bagnaia to secure his sixth win of the season and his 24th win with Ducati, making him the most successful Ducati rider in MotoGP history.
