Huangpu Riverside, Shanghai, China, May 20, 2024 — The first-ever Olympic Qualifier Series event in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China, was a massive success among athletes and fans. There is now eager anticipation for next month’s second stop in Budapest, Hungary, the final chance for athletes to qualify for Paris 2024.
The event, held in a vibrant urban park in Shanghai, was a grand spectacle featuring four thrilling sports – skateboarding, BMX freestyle, sport climbing, and breaking. A total of 460 athletes competed fiercely, vying for qualifying points for the Olympic Games. The event, a fusion of sports, art, fashion, and culture, drew a massive crowd of 45,000 spectators who were immersed in the electrifying atmosphere.

All attention is now focused on Budapest, the host of the crucial second and final Olympic Qualifier Series event, scheduled from June 20 to 23. This event will determine the last batch of athletes who will secure their spots for the highly anticipated Paris 2024.
The athletes who performed exceptionally well in the Shanghai standings are fully aware that their journey is not over yet. They are already gearing up for the final push in Budapest, determined to secure their qualification for Paris 2024.
